hi all
Well we left bayonna at a very civilised hour this morning (10 am ut). The sun was shining with a light north breeze and headed out of the bay. Our destination viano De Castelo in portugal just a short hop 40 miles down the coast.
The day began to warm and soon lots of white flesh was visable as the shorts were donned. The wind was still ligh so we motored. Toni decided that it was time to sort out the top reef and so was hoisted up the mast. He had so much fun up there that he had to go up even further and take some photos of us all. Hopefull they will be up on the blog if we can get some decent internet conections.
We arrived at Viano de Castelo about 5pm ut and were greated warmly by a native gestering us to go through their new lifting bridge (installed 6 monts ago and not on our pilot directions), we duely obliged and were directed to a snug birth and welcomed to portugal.
we have not gone exploring yet but the railway and road bridge were both built by the man who built the eifel tower. so lets see what more bits of trivia we can pick up tomorrow.
well the sapnish beans are cooked and its time for dinner.
bye for now
Niall
