Arrived in Cascaise, Lisbon, Portugal for the Skipper Change Over

Hi all

we arrived at Cascais just outside Lisbon last night after a vey relaxing sail/motorsail of about 30 hours. The wind was a light northly and the sun shon during the day and the night was clear.

Cascais is a large marina and has lots of very fancy yachts the facilities are fantastic with a marina village of shops restaurants and bars. The place revolves around sailing and has a very active yacht club with constant dingy training every day. The fleet of dragons in the compound is enough to make your mouth water.

The town itself seems to be the posh suberb of Lisbon with plenty of shops and good bars. Restaurant prices are a good deal more than we are used to, but still cheaper than at home.

The weather is a pleasant 19 degrees with sunshine and occasional showers. The lads are all sporting thier shorts and white flesh again.

I leave jessy on Monday and David is taking over for her sail to the Canaries. Probably they will go via Maderia if the weather holds.

We are hearing of nasty storms back home which is keeping the boys happy.

Bye for now

Niall
