Message from Skipper - Monday 20th.

Hi all

Well finally arrived in Spain after 57 hours at sea. The crossing was idyllic to begin with as we had clear skies and a north wind giving us beautiful sunrises and sunsets and fast speeds. towards the end got a little bit bumpy as the wind backed to the south west and incresed to 30 knots. the seas got big quite quick and were steep too which made progress slow and uncofortable. We decided that we would head for a small town called viverio on the north coast of spain and with great relief made secure at 9pm ut. All slept very well that night!

This morning we rose to a cloudy day with threats of rain and cooked a hairy brakfast before beginning Jessy´s wash down . The area around is mountainous with Rias stretching into the interior sandy beaches abound and the hills have a dense coating of conifers, even in the rain it looked magnificent.

We haven´t been into town yet but it promises to be a treat as it dates back to the 11th century. We had a super lunch on the new part of town where the marina is. 3 courses 2 beers and coffee for 6 people only 58 euro. tonight we go to the old town to find a tapas bar and a bit of local culture.

Our neighbours on the marina have been very helpful with information and welcome words. Both retired couples travelling around on their boats one from Sweden and the other dutch

Have o go as they close

Bye
