Departed from France and on the way to Spain

13:30 UT Friday 16th. They left the comfort of the marina to head across Bay of Biscay, aiming for La Corona, Spain. The forcast looked good for the first half of the journey with a change in wind direction half way across, which would put the wind on the nose. So they are in store for some lumpy sailing and losts of tacking, which will make the crossing a little longer.

13:00 UT Saturday 17th. Niall called from the Sat phone. They are half way across the bay weather is very nice, wind light, swell relatively OK for Bay of Biscay. The forcast shows some nasty weather up ahead, so they may head for Gijon instead of La Corona to avoid it.

Will keep you posted.
